Think about the White Sox... I can't start a game thread... Game One... Against the White Sox... Without stating how much I hate the White Sox... I want them punished. 2. Think about Liam Hendriks... Will he pitch well... Will he struggle?? That's a good question... Let's find out. 3. Think about Trevor Plouffe... Batting in the 3 spot... Moving up in the world. 4. Think about Ron Gardenhire... 4 wins away from 1,000... 14 Games to go... Does he make it... It's not a given... that is for sure. 5. Think about Lies... I was talking to a friend the other day and telling him one of my stories... He looked me in the eye and said "You're Lying". I responded with "Yes I am... But hear me out anyway".

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2013 Author Posted September 16, 2013 I yearn for the day that no-hit utility infielders are permanently relegated to the bottom of the order where they belong. That day is scheduled for June 14th 2014. Hang in there... It's coming!!!
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 What? No Dozier? Glad I opted out of actually spending money and going to the game.

You could punish them with so many wins that they don't get as good a draft pick next June, but I think they are pretty close to locked in to their draft spot by now. 5. Think about Lies [video=youtube;1n03a7cLf0M]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n03a7cLf0M (Whenever I see this video, I ask "who are these guys and why are they lipsynching a Beatles performance?", followed by "where can I get some of the mood enhancers those dancers are on?")
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 What? No Dozier? Glad I opted out of actually spending money and going to the game. Maybe Dozier is resting up so that he can look for an educated fan to party with after the game?

That guy with the Sax... Just doesn't belong.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 Is that the Super-2 cutoff date when Rosario, Sano, and Buxton all join the team? (with Hicks thrown in for good measure) Any GM will tell you the Super 2 is never a consideration. Actually I snuck into Terry Ryan's office to use the bathroom... He has a big calender on the wall. The Calender is marked with specific steps for the improvement of the franchise. It said... "June 14 2014... Step 9... Relegate utility infielders to 7th in the order".
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 That guy with the Sax... Just doesn't belong. I guess a person could come up with Five Questions about just that one video. Such as, "is that one dancer in the front Olivia's grandma?"
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 What? No Dozier? Glad I opted out of actually spending money and going to the game. He needs a rest... He's facing a tough right hander... He got stuck in Chicago Traffic trying to find your place... He's got a sore throat. The dog ate his batting gloves and... Bert Blyleven said something mean about his Mississippi accent and he refuses to play.
snepp Verified Member Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 "Play 2nd bat 2nd" is an itch that can only go so long without being scratched. You'd think that itch would have turned into a full-fledged gangrenous sore by now in dire need of amputation.
Alex Verified Member Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 I yearn for the day that no-hit utility infielders are permanently relegated to the bottom of the order where they belong. This is probably one of the things (lineup construction/ignoring platoons) that the organization should look for new management with new ideas.

I mean, Kenny Williams used to live in my building; so did Octavio Dotel; it can't be THAT hard to get here and around.

More like in dire need of what happened to Jack Nicholson's character at the end of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest....
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 That's why the White Sox will draft before us... Nice turn Beckham.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 lol @ the white sox guys talking about Plouffe ... and then mentioned Sano, pronounced it SANN-o ... with the Chicago 'twang' to boot.

Or maybe he is looking for ChiTown in the hope of scoring some apple crisp before it's all gone.
