LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Or you can be thankful that you missed it. Look at the time... It's 9:30... Two Hours deep and 5 innings haven't been completed. There will be a light smattering of people who stick this one out.I'm thinking about getting smattered after a couple more innings of this...
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 So about that resigning Pelfrey thing..........ummmmm....yeah.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 Exactly how many people are there in a light smattering? In the U.S... It's 49In Canada... It's 41
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 WTF happened??? Sheesh ... leave to finish my baking ... and ... and ... that is very sad. That's not even the worst part. While you were gone we agreed to blame you for this mess because your baking break jinxed it.

Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 That's not even the worst part. While you were gone we agreed to blame you for this mess because your baking break jinxed it. Fine. Then I will be sending you no care packages!
kydoty Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Most will remember a blowout. Few will remember the hilarity of Terry Steinbach asking for a review on a home run while down 14 runs.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 Uncle it is... I just yawned... My wife took the remote and said I see what the score is... I can't justify keeping the game on. Good Night

diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I think Bert should throw a ball at someone. There must be an unwritten rule being broken somewhere in this game. Isn't that Cole Devries pitching?
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Most will remember a blowout. Few will remember the hilarity of Terry Steinbach asking for a review on a home run while down 14 runs. He's practicin' some Managin'TM, in case Gardy gets hisself fired.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 So about that resigning Pelfrey thing..........ummmmm....yeah.Normally I wouldn't talk about getting rid of a pitcher during a bad outing any more than I'd want to debate climate change because it's a hot day. But Pelfrey pretty much melted both his polar icecaps tonight, I think.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Uncle it is... I just yawned... My wife took the remote and said I see what the score is... I can't justify keeping the game on. Good Night Following you out the door, I do believe. I leave you with this game summary:
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 So wait, Gardy's already home in bed?

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Fine. Then I will be sending you no care packages! By coincidence, just before I read that I reconsidered and decided I'd lobby for blaming the jinx on the joker who applauded Pelfrey's ERA briefly going below 5 in the first inning tonight. Unless you were the joker who wrote it, in which case I'm nominating it for Most Presciently Ironic Post of the Year.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Most will remember a blowout. Few will remember the hilarity of Terry Steinbach asking for a review on a home run while down 14 runs.Did Gardy get ejected, or spontaneously combust? If it's the former, he's one closer to breaking Earl Weaver's career AL ejection mark of 98.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 what conversion is that? It's an exception to the standard english-to-metric conversion rule, which is to "double it, and add 30".
