glunn Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Game time is getting close. Could someone post lineups? I am not good at setups, but would note that the Twins are leading the season series against the White Sox by 8 games to 2.

snepp Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Pelf has got them right where he wants them.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 See? Just like they drew it up in pregame.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Wow, middle of the second and we are only tied in strikeouts.

snepp Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Keys to the game: Twins pitch bad, they need to pitch better. White Sox hit bad, they need to hit better. Ground breaking stuff right there.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 At least the HRs were solos. This could be much worse .... and its only the 2nd inning with no outs.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Not exactly Gold Glove defense. However, I can't see much more of Pelf before my eyes bleed to death.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Why couldn't he have done this in July? Or June, May, or April for that matter.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 you can score runs on base hits, you know. sheesh.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 So far glad I'm not there Okay ... maybe I take that back
snepp Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Okay ... maybe I take that back I preemptively blame you for Pelfrey's poor inning.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I preemptively blame you for Pelfrey's poor inning. lol ... I've been blamed for worse.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Mr. Morneau helping me take the lead in a little pick the stick contest we have elsewhere. Hallelujah.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I'm hearing some sweet sounds here in the 3rd!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 I just checked BB Ref before the game. One of the things they note is record vs. teams above (and below) .500. Anyway, the Twins are 28-16 vs. losing teams and 23-46 vs. team with winning records. Unfortunately, more teams have winning records than losing records.
buckninetyone Provisional Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 making a call here. [hello, domino's?]
Don't Feed the Greed Guy Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Double play, a pitcher's best friend. Pelfrey's Best Man. After all, it's a beautiful summer afternoon for a Saturday wedding.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 It's such a nice day, let's wed two!
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Apparently the White Sox are not aware of the rule that a pitcher can't go out to start another inning when he's past 100 pitches. I assume the Union will lodge a complaint on Rienzo's behalf
Alex Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Love the Florimon bunt. The Twins way of manufacturing runs is really working out for us....
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 He's done now. Sure, but at what cost? 112 pitches, give or take. Oh, the humanity! He'll probably have a poor outing next time, if not already under the surgeon's knife.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
