Thanks for the compilation psuedo. I'm not a twitter guy and don't want it for the 2 times of the year I feel it is relevant (MLB deadling and NFL draft).

Is it just me or does this seem like a down year for trades, League wide? I feel like there were many more deals done by the trade deadline in years past, including less significant players. We have hardly had any trades, including 2nd or 3rd tier players.

It's been doing that for a few years, but I have no doubt it's influencing the quality of the market for what the Twins have.

Kennedy went for a few mid prospects, seems cheap but he is having a poor yr not bad for our rotation, however. Seems like a guy terry could have had if he thought we need pitching, guess that thought is still up in the air.

Kennedy would have been interesting...but he has taken a pretty significant nose dive these last two years (especially this year) plus, he isn't going to be exactly cheap this off-season with his 2nd year of arb.

I'd say the Twins should take the gamble if they were a pitcher or two away...but at this point they are better off holding onto their assets in the minors as well as their upcoming draft picks. There is a reason why Kennedy a former stud didn't fetch a nice return... also Joe Thatcher is a nice affordable RP, the Twins likely would have had to give up a pick (do they even have one to trade?) along with Burton and a middling prospect.... again I prob would have went for it, but at this point I wonder if the Dbacks were just going to cut Kennedy after the season anyways?

Berardino is killing it right now.

“We’re looking for a younger, more controllable type guy,

Like the year of control the team gave up for the privilege of watching Aaron Hicks flail away in the majors? Sounds like a major pivot in front office policy...

The Orioles and Astros have worked out a deal that will send Houston starting pitcher Bud Norris to Baltimore in exchange for outfielder L.J. Hoes, a Competitive Balance Draft pick and a Minor League left-handed pitcher right before the non-waiver Trade Deadline on Wednesday.
