The pickoff notwithstanding, I do wonder the domino effect had E-Rod not been injured. Probably would’ve been up late May/early June? Where would they had put Keaschall?

He is clearly showing he belongs.

That kid came up with his hitting shoes on.

This is like a spring training lineup for the Yankees and we still can’t beat em

Attebury says there is no weaknesses in Yankees lineup ….

we didn’t beat dodgers at all this year , at least we beat Yankees in there ballpark in July !!

I know there has been controversy on Jenkins. .....lately...🥵...but I will mention one point that I made previously....Jenkins and Lewis went right from high school to pro baseball and were fastracked to the majors. Cullpepper and Lackey ( who seems to be doing okay)...both spent 4 years at the college level...EMMA spent about 6 seasons in the minor leagues...you may disagree with me which is okay...but I do believe a quick bump up to the majors quickly can be challenging for even top picks. Yes, there are exceptions like Mauer..

You are correct on the path chosen but some players can make the adjustment quicker, we don't know yet about Jenkins.  I still think giving him the rest of the year and see how he looks in spring training or even a month into the season and if he is struggling more time in St. Paul would be warranted.  As others have said, he has always been a slow starter at each level, so is it that or is too soon.

I did like his at bats last night and he doesn't seem to be taking his struggles at the plate into the field.

He seems fairly grounded, so I am hoping he is taking his failures and learning from them, it appears he is.

Gotta be disheartening when a team can just run on your defense at will.

I just took a peek at stat cast - caratini is 66th and jeffers 69th in CS %. League average is 21%, they are at 12 and 10. ☹️

**Edit: hey, wait a second.  If you add their %s, it's above average! 😃

The only defense I will give them is our pitchers don't hold runners on.  The analytic value of a stolen base is low so the Twins as a team have not in the recent past focused on holding runners on.  The catchers do need some help from the pitchers.

Another disappointing trend I've noticed is that the Twins seem to get "pitched to" most games according to Shelty in his post game interview, but our pitchers can't seem to "pitch to". Just seems our bats keep getting beat, we can't just be a team who only hit pitches from pitchers who can't pitch.

Jeffers didn’t even attempt to throw to third on the double steal last night …

Just had to win one game to not lose the season series and these bums aren’t going to do it are they

I hear ya. It's been so long that "not lose" is a viable option. (weary sigh)...

That seems to be the twins way , can’t hit to all fields like other teams players do …

I do believe that he will be okay and should stay on the team for experience. I just hope he makes a better adjustment than Royce...who was another HS bump up that has not panned out in my opinion...so far...to be honest with you...could be a crowded and competitive outfield next year
