Agree...Matthews also may be incontention

In my opinion Matthews has earned the right to start spring training as of the one five starters.  Now if he gets out performed in spring training then he either is the 6th starter or in the bullpen.  But he has been a solid #4 or 5 guy this year.  I am not sure what more people want to see from him.  Yes he has things to work on and improve, but he should start out as one of the five.

TD, nobody playing is good, bring up AAA players, then diss them.

God help Rodriguez if he gets called up.

One person is on Jenkins, everyone has been supportive.

Agree...not even sure spring training will start on time...Matthews has more experience....Bradley, Pablo, Joe, Ober....

If a veteran makes a mistake..the same thing....one day booed...then hits..he is cheered...it is the way it is with fans

I agree but the way some here has snits that Larnach and Clemens were not traded AND regular starters, is an item not strictly unique here. but rarely heard from general fans.

I just cannot totally understand the attacks on Clemens....he may have had a poor throw today.  But he is near the top in most team batting stats and is placed all over the place...

He got on base and Culpepper took care of that.

Royce having a day--AGAIN

The main problem with Royce isn't that he has bad skills; he in fact seems gifted.

The main problem with Royce is that bad pitchers and good pitchers can get him out by pitching to his weaknesses, such as outside, and he refuses to adjust.

His batting stats are league average, hits for power but takes very few walks which is why his OPS is not higher.  He is a good player but is best utilized playing 3 or 4 days a week and coming off the bench to pinch hit.  And he should not be in the outfield, his arm is not good enough for the outfield.

Had high hope for him when he came back and  1b  seemed like a match,  but ya why he wont adjust might cost him a spot at least here , maybe a trade will help ?   but he playing his way out of ball if he dont adjust,  1 overall pick-  shouldnt happen !!

Hiding a weaker arm in LF is acceptable, hiding a weaker arm in RF is not. I like Keaschall, but he should not be in RF

Not when we have better options that could be out there.

I'm not "on him". I've just seen too many "can't miss" players flame out.

I'd vote for Clemens for team MVP this season. Granted it's a weak crop of contenders.
