Lewis has been much better at finding the gaps since his return. I really wish he would get to be where he plays more like Martin. Of course home runs are nice, but singles and doubles can make the game!

@Mike Sixel please, share your thoughts! Do you disagree re: gaps, or re: being Martin-esque? I’m very curious!

It was almost impossible to not score more than 1 run there

It's certainly possible to score zero. This was a major victory.

2022 Draft

8.  Brooks Lee

48.  Connor Prielipp

63.  Jacob Misiorowski

A lot of Teams/Scouting personnel missed that one.

Knowing our organization, it's highly unlikely we would have gotten the same results had we drafted him.

He’d be the front end of a piggy back situation, or whatever nonsense they’re teaching in the organization

Right.  Scoring once with two runners in scoring position with none out is a major victory.

I don’t mean current Martin of course - I wish he was still as strong as he started the season! But the ability to get on base is such a crucial asset to a team. You can’t have a grand slam without a few singles!

New to the team? 😉

But think about putting 3 balls in play plus a strikeout with 2nd and 3rd nobody out and only scoring a run

Good thing bases were not loaded or it might have been zip runs.☢️
