When did this start? I've been out for most of the weekend.

Not sure when it started. Since I saw all the multiple posts, I was careful - the symptom I see is that when I click "Submit Reply" nothing visible happens, but if I open a new TD window my post is there.

Meanwhile someone in the game thread posted this tidbit:

keep seeing this in upper right corner--Template core/front/global/userBar is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]

Not showing accurate last posts.... Can't react to posts, a theme issue in the header.

Yes, that is another symptom I forgot to mention.  I went to click Like on this post of yours, and got "Sorry, there was a problem reacting to this content."

I'll second that last part.  I have the same issue.

One other possible clue: while I am unable to click "Like" on anybody's post (to my knowledge), I did receive notification that Chief "liked" one of mine.  Don't know what might be different about his account than mine.

I noticed earlier that when I posted something, and saw it post, it looked like it hadn’t as the body of my post was still in the reply box

But that didn’t happen this time.

And I’m able to react to posts.

I just clicked like on this and likewise got the correct result.  Whether by luck or design, maybe something is fixed.

I can only react on some posts.

This has to be related to a server instance, as I am receiving none of these errors. I'll check the logs.

Are there multiple servers - or multiple virtual machines anyway?*   Because the symptoms are hit-and-miss for me as well.  I tried to click Like on somebody's post and got the error popup, and then a moment later I Liked someone else's post and it registered.

* I acknowledge that my terminology may be outdated or even stupid.  I used to do IT as part of my job, but 20 years since those days renders me unhirable if I ever were to try to get back to it.  Hopefully you get what I'm asking.

There are effectively six servers, I think. I forget the exact number, but I think it's six right now. When you visit the site, you're assigned one of those six servers, and that computer will stay on that server for awhile, possibly days. But if you visit the site using a different device, then you have a one-in-six chance of being assigned the same server.

Well, the sequence I mentioned just now didn't involve switching devices or anything.  It occurred within 10 minutes at most, maybe just 2 or 3.
