So are we sure this incident actually occurred? The Twins and MLB investigated Duran's claim. That was a pretty empty ballpark when the heckle occurred, and if the fan was yelling loud enough for Duran to hear him, anybody else (park staff included) within earshot would've also heard. No ejections, no action post investigation, nobody came forward to corroborate Duran's accusation. I mean....

I have a hard time believing a fan could yell what Duran alleges, and not a single person around that individual confronted them, or said something to staff, and neither the Twins nor MLB could pinpoint who the fan was.

“I did it specifically because I know he’s very sensitive about anything involving him”

That’s not making Tyler look as good as he thinks it does.

That's your takeaway from the interaction? Tough look for the media member?

Tyler did something he specifically knew would get a reaction, for no other reason than to get a reaction.
My takeaway is that they both suck. But we already knew that about Duran.

@Mike Sixel a person claiming mental health issues is fine. Not controlling his emotions is another. Threatening to calling out another as a fat F and that he would kick his ass- means he doesn’t understand the concept of bullying ect. He wants to be a victim and an attacker at the same time. It’s more apparent he just got caught flipping someone off- was mad he got caught then made up a story. He’s been up and down for a while.

Do you honestly believe Duran flipping off the crowd was going to go unnoticed?

Do TD writers/owners/authors "suck," when they're critical of the team or individual players?

Seems like we've completed a 360 degree return to where the discussion started.  The article leading to this thread essentially began, "[t]he moment everyone wanted to talk about [my emphasis] happened in the fifth inning, and it had nothing to do with a pitch or a swing."

The incident involving the crowd was the opposite of unnoticed.

No one's defending the incident. The article we're discussing provided important context.

Everyone's had their say that's going to. It's faintly possible this topic from April has run its course.

Yes it has. Not sure why the need to resurrect it.
