This sucks in the moment, but I stand by my first post today, this might be for the best. This would have been a terrible game for McCarthy. Now there should be no question that JJ needs to get the rest of the starts, even if he struggles. This team really needs to reasonably know what they have in him by the end of the year.

And that's kinda why I'm still optimistic. When JJ is healthy and gets some reps, the offense should be able to convert a few more TDs. We just have to wait but the pieces are here.
