This might be the worst collection of 6 quarterbacks playing since the 80s.  (All due respect to Baker and sorta Love, but the other four.....woof)

I’m sure the NFL is considering expansion with the obvious plethora of good quarterbacks in the league

We’ve got our first HC firing of the season

Yeah, so congrats to Cam Ward for being the next NFL QB who is going to be jerked around with new coaches and new offenses regularly early in his career.

Here's a controversial take (well probably not here because no one cares about the Titans), but the Titans current QB coach, Bo Hardegree, is the one who was the QB coach for the bad versions of Derek Carr, Ryan Tannahill and Will Levis, while also working on offenses that oversaw the bad versions of Mac Jones and Sam Darnold early in their careers. Meanwhile Brian Callahan was the QB coach for Mattew Stafford in his prime and the OC for Joe Burrow while being an assistant on the Broncos when Peyton Manning was there.

Background out of the way, if the Titans want a shot at salvaging Ward, they should have considered demoting Brian Callahan to QB coach, who at least has worked with elite QB talent before. It would have been awkward but could have perhaps been salvaged by promoting his dad to interim HC. His dad did coach a team to the Super Bowl after all, he's qualified for an interim job. I'd guess he won't take it now that his son was fired though.

Has Gabriel been bad? He's a rookie. Through the same number of games, his numbers are way better than McCarthy's. And Gabriel has had to play against two good NFL defenses.

Yes, he was really bad yesterday. He had more completions behind the LOS than he had over 10 yards. Not a fan of sanders or vouching for him at all, but I can’t believe he (apparently) isn’t better than that guy. Feel bad for the browns, they have talent but no qb. And baker is playing at an mvp level.

Right now JJ would be dead last in QBR if he had enough snaps to qualify. Gabriel would be just ahead of Justin fields at 29th

I'm not saying Gabriel is good, but there are tons of bad QBs in the league right now, including Fields. And Flacco, Cam Ward, Bryce Young and Geno Smith. I'd start Gabriel over any of them and I'd start Sheduer Sanders over none of them. I'd cut him right now actually; he's doing nothing but causing distractions on an already dysfunctional team. He clearly doesn't have the make up to be an NFL QB. I'm not sure he has the make up for any job outside of Instagram Influencer.

Anyone still want to fight me that Cam Skattebo is a freaking stud?

He's 22nd in yards/rush (below league average, FYI), 22nd in yards/game, 21st in YAC/attempt, and 18th in attempts/broken tackle.  He's a nice player, he has moments of being a stud (like most players in the NFL), and I wouldn't mind having him on the Vikes at all (that ship sailed when Kwesi decided to give up 6 picks for Dallas Turner/the ill-fated attempt to get into the 2024 Top 3); but he's definitely not a stud, at least not yet.

My biggest thing with him was the culture change.  He's so good, but the attitude and physicality is going to totally change the way the Giants play football.

We could use a dose of that.

I'm confused, I thought the biggest thing KOC and Kwesi did was create a strong culture, from which all of the wins have flown.  Is that not accurate?

Yes that’s what I’m saying. He must be terrible to not be given a chance.

Here's an article all about Shedeur Sanders, and why no team with any sense wanted to draft him.  Add to the fact that in 2024, 68% of his passes traveled less than 10 yards (where he completed 83.7% of his passes, compared to 59.8% beyond 10 yards).  Given your opening criticism of Gabriel (more completions behind LOS then over 10 yards), it's worth noting that in 2024 Sanders had 102 completions behind the LOS, and 76 beyond 10 yards), and that was playing in a pretty weak Big 12 conference.

You should believe he is worse than Gabriel, and it's not because Gabriel is amazing or anything; it's because Sanders is that bad, and has been a huge beneficiary of nepotism.

I think you guys are confused. I’m not vouching for sanders to play. I’m just asking how truly terrible he must be to not start over Dillon Gabriel. I watched almost the entire browns Steelers game yesterday and I’m shocked the browns don’t have a WR or two in the hospital with some of the inaccurate passes he was throwing all day. He hit a dude in the head. I have no earthly idea how he hasn’t thrown an INT yet. He reminds me of myself in high school, I couldn’t see over the LOS either 😂

Then again he was drafted ahead of sanders so maybe he’ll continue to be given chances even though stefanski is coaching for his job (which he’s probably going to lose)
