First Julien  should quit using his iron glove.   Outman's fielding has never been a problem.

Fun to see the Twins happy tonight. There are days they look so stressed and nervous. I'm trying to enjoy whatever positives occur for this group. Of course I expect about eight changes among the position players by next April, but that can wait. Hopefully this group can make a few teams chasing the playoffs nervous in the next 3 weeks.

Johnny Bench made 12 errors as a catcher in 1970 and nine errors in 1971 and won a Gold Glove each year. Judging a fielder solely by the number of errors he makes is like judging a cake by its frosting. Official scorers make decisions that seem much more based on helping infivuals on the home team than reality and we just saw the Angel right fielder fail to make two plays and he was given an error on either one. Yeah, Jeffers and Gasper aren’t elite defenders, but one game and one scoring decision doesn’t make them the worst defenders ever.

It will be interesting to see what show up at Twins Spring Training and then what remains on the team.

Watching Lewis hit 2 home runs in his home county with his family cheering behind the dugout was worth the trip to the stadium tonight. Haw haw!  I went off to classes with 3-3 ball game, and the Vikes looking totally lost!  Come back to 2 impressive wins!  

That settles it- I should only work from now on, and disregard following any ball games.
