Blackburn is credible as a starter but could easily go lefty long relief. Word is teams want Erceg but the cost might be higher and the competition fiercer.. A's want to keep Rooker and might want him to stay

We (fans and the team) have to realize that it takes some serious capital in prospects/players to get some serious return.  We tried that two years ago with Jorge Lopez and Tyler Mahle and got snake bit.  Odds are that won’t happen again, but you never know.  Baseball is funny like that.

I don't think the Twins are targeting anyone due to the financial constraints.  If I was Falvey I would start trying to find another organization that wants to compete.

Turns out these guys were too expensive. You needed to write a “Five players below everyone the Twin’s probably will target” article.

I have been very critical of the FO and ownership for the off-season moves (specifically Farmer, Margot, and DeScalafini). We definitely could have used that payroll now. Seems like ownership is going to pocket whatever money they were set to receive from the TV reallocation. This is especially sad when you see other teams in similar positions (Guardians, Royals, Dbacks, and Padres) using theirs.

After listening to pundits from MLB network and ESPN Houston about the various trades, I’m not sure I’d want to give up the trade capital necessary get the likes of Kikuchi, Tanner Scott, or Trevor Rogers, especially for rentals or reclaim projects. We already have a roster of reclamation projects at various stages of success 

I of all fans want to make a move, but these moves needed to be made in the off season not when the market is hottest.

His BABiP so far this year is 387...about 100 points higher than his career average.

He's a 110-ish OPS+ guy whose entire offensive value...what makes him 'good'... is his ability to take a base-on-balls. Meanwhile, he can only play 1B or DH from a practical standpoint.

But we always yearn for what we once had. I guess.
