mlb.tv would be better off just showing a live shot of the field as it rains and clears and tarp withdrawn etc.  For some reason they put on this stupid soundtrack of bats hitting balls, umpires calling strike etc.  Same thing over and over.

On the topic of rain…

Wouldn’t it make sense for the teams based in Florida to pool capital to build 2 or 3 cheap, bare-bones indoor game facilities? With all the summer rain in Florida, the complex league schedules…compressed as they are, are really challenged. It just seems like an unnecessary challenge and disadvantage relative to the Arizona league.

1960 Olympics team was considered the original dream team. Lucas, Robertson, West, Bellamy, etc. And after that stellar playing career he helped put together some great teams from the FO. He will be missed and remembered. My favorite. Him and Elgin just had the misfortune of having to play the Russell and Cousy Celts

Not sure I understand this move. Putting aside the likely motive of trying to get Caleb on track, he would've more than likely been unavailable after last night. 5-run leads can evaporate fairly quickly. Colorado's line-up is capable of stringing hits together - we've saw it first-hand last night. Seems like Rocco's asking for trouble all in the name of trying to salvage a pitcher who looks like he needs to retire.
