It was fun at the game last night. Truly beautiful Spring baseball night at the game, seats were dry, didn't notice any rain at all. Temps never dropped much despite it being expected to end in the mid 50s. End of game time was 60*, start was like 64*.

I'd like to see the offense string together hits like this on a regular basis. Seeing so many hits was exciting, and though the crowd was meager, you could tell they were excited to see solid baseball making the game feel more electric than it was.

Of course the Twins started a pitcher with an ERA over 8...

True - but even out lineup looks strong compared to them.  And Paddock is a major leaguer with a history while their pitcher had a 4,46 minor league era last year.

I have to add this Sox perspective from the Athletic - they are rated the worst team in baseball and this is the description so lets win them all, but if we do it does not mean we are back:

"There’s a thread on Reddit’s White Sox community titled: Worst Chicago White Sox Ever? The original poster mentioned Jeff Keppinger (.600 OPS in 2013). Someone else said, “Nomar Mazara lmao” (.589 OPS in 2020). And it’s a mercy that thread dropped two years ago because the 2024 White Sox have a .552 team OPS. They are off to the worst start in franchise history and could be headed for big-league history. They average 2.14 runs scored per game and 5.52 runs allowed. As of Monday, Atlanta’s Marcell Ozuna is a two-homer day from tying the White Sox’s 11 homers this season. The White Sox have a .188/.264/.288 slash line and .552 OPS. The closest comp I can find is 1975 John Stearns. A whole team of Stearnses. — Nesbitt"

Well, he was a pitcher with a 1.80 ERA until he faced the Twins offense tonight!

Well, it only follows that that MUST mean the Twins offense is just soooooo amazing and fearsome, then, right?

I only wish Hawk Harrelson was still announcing.  The joy of listening to him complain about how bad the Sox are would warm my heart.

Take em off the board, yesssss..

Nice job by Paddack.

Yes indeed! Not only did he strike out 10 batters, but he didn't walk anyone at all. More starts like this, please!

Attendance: 12443.

They reap what they sow

Tell that to the team seamtress --  they rip what she sews.
