My concern is the on field management.  I know Rocco doesn't have complete say on the roster, but he is very insufficient managing what he does have.  He's brutal in a lot of his decisions,

The Lewis injury was a catastrophic blow, as it turns out. There’s no punch in the lineup at all. What do we have, 4 or 5 home runs all year? Yikes

I don't like that the whole team plays better with Lewis on the field.

I mean, isn't that why the organization always claims they acquire guys like Santana, Margot and Vazquez? For that vague, intangible and incalculable thing that makes the young players up their game?

Maybe stop getting those guys and just get guys who put up good numbers you CAN calculate on the field.

2022 and 2024 - franchise record for fewest hits through the first 8 games of the season. In 2022, it was 48. In 2023, it was 47.

Not understanding how Popkins continues to be employed.

No one would confuse this line-up with the 1927 Yankees but I also wouldn't confuse it with one of the worst in franchise history and that's where things are trending.

Also, won't kill Rocco for pulling Ober. Not so much about pitch count, IYAM. Third time through with Ohtani and Freeman. Obviously Okert and Jackson didn't come through, but not necessarily sure Ober would've have come through either. On the bright side, Ober can take some confidence from the outing.

Royce being out killed twins. No pop or power in lineup. Pitching is 🤮💩losing Sonny and Kenta are huge blows.  I love this team and will continue to always support them but it’s looking like 90 losses and last place finish. Cutting payroll it’s going to be difficult for twins to win division.
