Is it that they don’t agree or is it the Twins have many players that are 40 or 45 and there isn’t a lot of difference from 5 to 32? How significant is shuffling in that range? A 45 is a low end starter/platoon player and 40 is a bench player which essentially is a platoon player. In pitching terms it is number 4/5 starter vs back end starter.

Are there other sites that have someone joining Jenkins, Lee, Rodriguez and Festa or see one of those 4 as a lower end major leaguer?

DeAndrade and Gonzalez are big droppers relative to others (from what I hear).

Interesting they see Raya as a long reliever.  Train might be leaving the station.

we officially have him on the starter/reliever line until we see him stretched out more than he has been so far.

I'm not sure we read that sentence the same way.

Sorry, hadn't got that part yet. It is a significant slide though. The less they stretch him, the less I like him as a prospect. He's also being passed by high performers, is he still a top 5 team pitching prospect at the end of the year?

Gonzalez was probably in that upper group last midseason. You are right he is a drop. Deandre recently turned 20 and they don’t have rule 5 decision until 2025. Let’s hope his play makes that decision an easy one to put him in the 40.

Thanks for posting these links.

Would you consider Festa a worse, equal, or better prospect than Povich?

I think they're in the same general vicinity

12:46    The latter makes it trickier!
12:47    Like Brock Stewart should be a closer at some point, but the Twins aren't trading their closer

Yeah, the Twins don't do long relievers. If he makes it to the majors, he's either a starter or they'll tune up the velocity and try him in the back of the bullpen.

1:13    lol --- D&D ... sweet!  Back in the day, a friend and I created a system for DUNE!  Thanks so much for what you do!  Of Schuemann, Schneemann, Austin Martin, Horowitz ... who do you think might stick?ReactReact

Willi Castro all star snub ?

Ben Clemens

Yeah, though I assume he'll end up making it with injury replacements taken into account

2:46    I guess the weird part is, why are the Twins selling?

AL Central
1:51    The Twins and White Sox match up very well on a Crochet deal. Is them being in the division a complete non starter?
Steve Adams
1:53    It's generally best to just assume both parties prefer not to be haunted by that type of trade for years to come. White Sox don't want to watch Crochet carve them up in 2026. Twins don't want to watch Brooks Lee or Emmanuel Rodriguez or Walker Jenkins or whoever beating up on them for six/seven years somewhere down the road.

The last trade of any note I can remember those two teams making was Francisco Liriano for Eduardo Escobar and Pedro Hernandez, which I inexplicably remember off the top of my head because apparently I am a sicko.

MLB Trade Rumors: Top 35 Trade Candidates this Offseason

Vazquez at #15 and Paddack at #16.

Also, old friend Luis Arraez is on the list at 17 projected to get $14.6 million in arbitration. Has a 3 time batting champ been non tendered?

I mean, if it was up to me, I'd like to see 10 batting titles with 10 teams in 10 years. That would be a heck of a lot of fun.

Although probably less fun for Arraez.

Also, woof. Any list that is dominated by relievers isn't a terribly attractive list.

Dang, Houston and ST. Louis are in for a long few years most likely.
