Maybe the Twins meant to claim the "wrong" Ryan Jensen. Is the wrong Ryan Jensen any good? Althebum82 and Hosken Bombo Disco 1 1

The problem is he appears to be a one pitch pitcher unless something has recently changed. From what I read if he can find a second pitch that he can control he will be a solid pen arm, but he has had quite a while to get there and hasn't yet. Not an arm I would want clogging the 40 man, but likely someone they can try and get through waivers at some point. Let the games begin. So, are the retread relief pitchers being added to our 20-man roster?

Alexy is on a minor league deal and Jensen has options left so he doesn't have to be on the 26 man. Like others have said not a huge deal grabbing these arms, but Alexy and Jensen have been pretty bad for a pretty long time. I get taking chances but those two are super long shots. The Twins have had decent luck teaching guys a sweeper. Maybe that is the plan for these two? I'm just curious why they are going with lack of control guys since this FO's MO is control above pretty much anything else. saviking 1

There's a pretty good chance it's a nothingburger, but there's also a greater than zero chance that he could be a useful part of a bullpen. In Jensen's case, it is obviously a bet on the talent level that made him a first rounder a few years back. If nothing comes of it, OK, but it's worth the shot. This is a normal winter signing. Agreed - work with him in Twin’s system for 3-5 months (March - July) and make a decision. Worthwhile on paper. Fingers crossed. Rod Carews Birthday 1
