Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Didn't somebody tell Deduno that Twins pitchers are not allowed to pitch seven full innings? And... The bullpen is dead... He gotsta go another one. It's like watching the Twins while riding the corkscrew at Valley Fair.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 You have to be careful doing missionary work on Mactan Island.Thinking about naming my next dog Lapu-Lapu...
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Didn't somebody tell Deduno that Twins pitchers are not allowed to pitch seven full innings? The way the game went last night, Duensing was almost on tap to do just that.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 And... The bullpen is dead... He gotsta go another one. Who closes? Butera?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Deduno working on thinning out Brewers' bench...
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Wow. Having Deduno in the rotation has got to play into the intimidation factor. How many guys does he hit a game?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Thinking about naming my next dog Lapu-Lapu... Lapu Lapu is what I named the black thing that plugs into the outlet in my car. It would accidentally get bent and Kill my Megellan.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 It looks like this game is going to come down to Gomez vs. whoever raised their hand to pitch in relief.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I am still at my office grinding out work. The two hour time difference only makes it seem like I am late. All these lazy EDT and CDT bums, knocking off work early every afternoon while we PDTers toil and toil.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 All these lazy EDT and CDT bums, knocking off work early every afternoon while we PDTers toil and toil. I'm in MDT - does that mean I'm sorta lazy?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 All these lazy EDT and CDT bums, knocking off work early every afternoon while we PDTers toil and toil. Yeah... Enjoy your Letterman tape delayed... When you start laughing... I've already moved on to other things.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Deduno working on thinning out Brewers' bench... Also our bullpen. Fien's een now.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I'm in MDT - does that mean I'm sorta lazy? No... It mean your isolated from Human Population.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Yeah... Enjoy your Letterman tape delayed... When you start laughing... I've already moved on to other things. That would be true even if I were in your timezone. He's too subtle for me.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 It looks like this game is going to come down to Gomez vs. whoever raised their hand to pitch in relief. "If you can raise your hand, you're rested enough to pitch."
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I was just checking to see where Segura ranked in the NL batting race. He is first. I noticed that the top three outfielders for OPS in the NL are Cuddy and the Car-gos (Gomez and Gonzalez). Wouldn't it be cool if that was the NL's starting outfield?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 That would be true even if I were in your timezone. He's too subtle for me. OK... Well... Ummm... When World War 3 hits... I have two extra hours to stock up and find a bunker.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Big big DPOnly fair, given that the inning started with HBP/BB small-ball.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 OK... Well... Ummm... When World War 3 hits... I have two extra hours to stock up and find a bunker. Yep, I'm pretty sure that's exactly how it works.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Wow. Having Deduno in the rotation has got to play into the intimidation factor. How many guys does he hit a game?He averaged about 1 per 15 innings last year, which would've led the majors if he'd have pitched just 180 innings.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I have no worries about any facet of Parmelee's defense. I am willing to be patient with his hitting until he finds it.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Way to go, Chris! Now that's taking one for the team!
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Stop by and get your wife something on Rodeo quickly. I am back and glad that wife could not read this post.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Parmelee is evidently Doug Mientkiewicz. Also I loved the split screen of Deduno celebrating and praying. He is my favorite Twins player by far and I don't even care if he implodes.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Just when I think Fien is in trouble, he comes in and does that.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 He averaged about 1 per 15 innings last year, which would've led the majors if he'd have pitched just 180 innings. Hitting a lot of guys tends to tie into not pitching so many innings, though.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Purpose of gate if not locked to prevent player falling through it?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I am back and glad that wife could not read this post. I normally share that sentiment about my wife and every entire game thread. / futilely double checking my phrasing for when USAFChief wanders by.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Boy, that's two very, very nice defensive plays in a very tough spot. Nice job. Made better by the shot of Deduno practicing winning the Olympic gold medal after Parmelee's catch.
