ScottyB Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Brock - it's a home & home series. First 2 games are at Miller Park, last 2 at Target.
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Yeah 2 and 2. Four games at that abomination of a stadium would be way too aesthetically displeasing.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 Brock - it's a home & home series. First 2 games are at Miller Park, last 2 at Target. Ah, right. It was early and I entirely missed that.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Happy Memorial Day everyone. Please try to find time today to remember those who have given us the freedoms we enjoy.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 C'mon... Let's have a decent game today.
mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I just hope if we do lose I will be able to find out why Ron Gardenhire should be fired somewhere on the internet.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Segura is a nice looking young SS. How nice would it be to have a 23 YO SS with a career minor league OPS above .800 who's putting up the numbers in the majors he is?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Happy Memorial Day everyone. Please try to find time today to remember those who have given us the freedoms we enjoy. How can someone not like that. Thanks for your service, Chief!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Apparently coaching hitting isn't as easy as throwing BP. Bruno and Gardy want Dozier to hit the ball more to the opposite field, while Gladden was advocating that Dozier should look to pull the ball more and perhaps put one in the seats. IIRC, Dozier's slide started after he homered at Fenway. Just a coincidence?
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Didnt catch the pregame or early part of game.Any word on why Mauer is back to the 3 hole?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Florimon with another RBI hit. While there have been a lot of disappointments on this club, Pedro has had a nice two months.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Carlos Gomez with a second deck homer, who would have predicted that?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Didnt catch the pregame or early part of game.Any word on why Mauer is back to the 3 hole?I'm guessing Gardy didn't want to have the bottom of the order be Dozier, Hicks, Florimon, and Correia. BTW, is anyone out there?
Reginald Maudling's Shin Provisional Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Carlos Gomez with a second deck homer, who would have predicted that?Right after Dick was talking trash about him. One of the most "unpredictable," "emotional" players in Twins history. How about Gardy & the Twins messed up on this one? What an *******.

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 I swear this Brewers pitcher is a right handed version of Liriano.

How about Gardy & the Twins messed up on this one? What an *******.[/quote'] He can say what he wants... but I agree... I have been disapointed all along with the Gomez trade... Hardy in return didn't matter... Gomez had tools coming out of his tool box. Giving up on a kid like that just didn't make sense... He was just a young ball player.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Doumit should have had that ball hit by Weeks... That's a Double that should be off the books.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Ryan Doumit, right fielder. Still doesn't work for me.

He was just a young ball player.I can come to grips with what the Twins did. They should have had him in AAA instead of a 4th outfielder. But Dick Bremer couldn't tell a ballplayer if one stepped on his foot. He's still a mouthpiece for the franchise and it makes the franchise look foolish.

I also seemed to some people, including me, that the Twins rushed Gomez to the majors.

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Man, I go away a couple of weeks, and you guys let the team fall apart. Second worst record in the league? So far, my return to civilization has the Twins doing OK this game; other than the home run Correia looks like he's cruising along in his classic not-actually-cruising-but-getting-it-done fashion.

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 How is Liriano doing today. He's pitching for Pittsburgh... I think? He had his first bad game today, after 3 very good ones coming back from the DL.
