IaBeanCounter Verified Member Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 The Royals don't have a good record but in 2 series before the Twins, they went 3-3 against Cleveland and LA Dodgers. In the 3 games against the Dodgers they scored 18 runs and only scored 7 against the Twins. Based on how they were playing I did not expect a sweep. I hope they can finish the first half on a high note against the Guardians! rwilfong86 and stringer bell 2

That doesn't take away from the fact that Lopez was outstanding, but if we played Kansas City all year, we'd be 150 and 12. So let's take our victories and being over 500 and change the way we approach the better teams that are coming up. I will also say that Jeffers has taken over as number one catcher. Both defense and offense make him the choice for the majority of games as I see it. And Julien is really settling in and looks like a tremendous asset. With Lewis down it is nice to have this young player join Kiriloff. Now if only Miranda can discover his bat so we can have three productive young players in the lineup. Jeffers is doing very well with the bat but Vasquez defense numbers are still superior. At that, Jeffers change from last year is a very good thing.

Some are better but superior is strong reference: Vazquez .989 fielding % 6 errors 5 double plays 2 pass balls 18 assists 10 caught stealing Jeffers .994 fielding %. 2 errors 3 double plays 3 pass balls 13 assists 8 caught stealing Jeffers has improved on both sides of the plate. Vazquez is superior in salary though!
