The earliest Royce can be activated is the 29th.

And I’m not sure how you get dishonesty in one quote from Rocco. We have a day off today so it makes sense to see how things are on Friday before making any decisions.

Asking if you trust what he's saying is an implication that he's not being truthful, at least that's how I read it. Sorry if I misinterpreted. I don't think any manager is going to go into details on an injury when it's not fully assessed as to if and when a player can play. From that one sentence he gave in that article, I read it as ... they will assess things on Friday. But then comes the question ... if he can't play will he go on the IL or will they give him a couple more days of rest. And if he goes on the IL, then who? I think he's just as much 'not in the know right now' as we all are.

Ive had it from playing golf and treadmill.  I always walk.  Very painfull.  It sucks.

Depending on how severe a case Correa has, it can vary between a bit of irritation to debilitating. Combined with a muscle strain, I doubt Correa avoids the IL. I hope he's not out too long and that he's 100% when he returns.

Yes it can.  I too have suffered with it.  I'm hoping he has a more aggressive treatment plan than I had though.  This is the same problem that took down Shannon Stewart in 2004 (although I think he had it in both feet - yikes!), the year after the trade that brought him to the Twins and sparked a spectacular last half of the season in 2003.

Timberwolves fans from the early days will remember the saga of Micheal Williams, point guard of some talent.  Plantar fasciitis struck, and he was essentially finished as a ballplayer at age 28, though he kept trying to come back into his early 30s.  This is not something to be trifled with when it's a high end athlete putting enormous stress on the connective tissue.

It sounds like the player to go on the IL will be Gallo. Wallner should be. recalled to fill that spot. It is possible that Thielbar is also added back to the roster tomorrow.

Is it his leg from a few games back?

I saw a tweet saying it was not official, but that the hammy was again a problem for Gallo.

Buxton and Correa both missed the last three games of the Cleveland series, leaving the Twins with a woefully short bench. It is hoped that both will be ready to go for the Tampa Bay series.

It makes sense to me for Buxton to remain on the active list because healing from bruised ribs should be pretty much a straight line--each day should be better and recurrence would only happen if someone or something hit his ribs.

Correa, on the other hand, might be subject to a recurrence at any time. It seems to me that perhaps he should go on the IL and get his foot as right as it can be or he and the team may be dealing with this injury for months.
