Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Do any of us... Ever get the feeling... That the rest of TD members are simply missing the boat with these game threads. You just can't talk about Pink decking people with a broken beer bottle on the Fire Gardenhire threads. We truly are the Princes among men.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 OK... Side topic in the game thread as just arrived... Who are the other 9? As far as I'm concerned, it's Randy Johnson's world in this regard, and the rest of them just live in it.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I really hate to distract everyone, but Worley gave up a leadoff double there and got out of the inning pretty easily. Cue Theme from Deliverance.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 As far as I'm concerned, it's Randy Johnson's trailer park in this regard, and the rest of them just live in it. FTFMyself.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Competent play from the infield... I appreciate the little things in life
Reginald Maudling's Shin Provisional Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 If one of your co-workers has a tragic accident with a forklift or meat grinder or Windows crash, and the ticket is going begging, drop me a line.Nahh, it's Oakland. Tickets aren't that hard to get. I'll need an excuse to go to the other two games anyway so come on down. I only live about 30 minutes from the coliseum.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Former Politician? Jeez Glunn... Previous to that knowledge I would have trusted you with anything. Now... I think you are just a good soul because it'll give you a 2 point bump in the polls. I won my first election but have declined subsequent opportunities because I cannot stand the corruption.
JeffReboulet Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Worley looks great. Twins look feeble as hell at the plate right now. Coomdawg is making me miss Bert, that's hard to do. Insufferable.

Yes, looking at the pitch-by-pitch for the top of the first versus the next two and a half innings, and the Sesame Street song about one of these things being not like the other ones comes to mind.

Cue Theme from Deliverance. We are professionals... We can talk about Pink and Randy Johnson and tip over in shock over the nice performance of Worley thus far.
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Glunn? Snepp? This true?? I am not sure, but it is certainly true that game threads get greater latitude.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I won my first election but have declined subsequent opportunities because I cannot stand the corruption. What's this? A politician with a conscience? Sounds like maybe you should run again.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I don't know if Arcia is a good bad-ball hitter, but he is sure a bad-ball swinger. Yikes.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I am not sure, but it is certainly true that game threads get greater latitude. And just look at the rewards you reap.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 What's this? A politician with a conscience? Sounds like maybe you should run again. I'd vote for Glunn... I'm gonna get T-Shirts made ala Napoleon Dynamite.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Anyone know of a site that breaks out team strikeouts by called third strike versus swinging? Twins seem like they must be leading the league, either in raw count or by ratio.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I really hate to distract everyone, but Worley gave up a leadoff double there and got out of the inning pretty easily. Can't speak for everyone, but as for me I've come to expect nothing less out of Worley...
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 What's this? A politician with a conscience? Sounds like maybe you should run again. I was recently appointed to a special task force to make recommendations to enhance governmental transparency. This has already made me miss one Twins game. Isn't that enough?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Where is Nick Nelson now... Looks like the rookies have learned good.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Strikeouts versus pitch to contact? Except for that first half-inning, one style is working out about as well as the other.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Great rip there from Arcia And Hicksie.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 We are professionals... We can talk about Pink and Randy Johnson and tip over in shock over the nice performance of Worley thus far. Hey, wait...you're getting paid to post on game threads? Sweet! Who do I talk to to set that up?
big dog Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Yeah, that double from Hicks was really hit hard. Hopefully it starts something.
B Richard Provisional Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Hicks has shown he can hit the fastball. Really jumped that one. I have a feeling he just needs a little more time before he adjusts to the off-speed stuff
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I won my first election but have declined subsequent opportunities because I cannot stand the corruption. You weren't offered any?
