Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 ---I will run down Nicollet Mall at midnight wearing nothing but a Homer Hanky and singing "We're Gonna Win Twins" at the top of my lungs if we come back and win this game. Try some optimism... A pessimist like yourself... Says... It can get any worse! An optimist like me... Says... Oh yes it can!!!

jokin Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Huh? We're not supposed to get it....North Dakota humor....RB actually thinks this a splendid night for baseball....
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Who is slower, Plouffe or Morneau?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Heroin for my Brandy please. Cyanide for my heroin, please.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 We're not supposed to get it....North Dakota humor....RB actually thinks this a splendid night for baseball.... Nothing like blowing a joke on the Internet!!! BTW... Every night is a slendid night for baseball.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Who is slower, Plouffe or Morneau? Yes.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Who is slower, Plouffe or Morneau?Depends. If Plouffe is playing third it's pretty close. Second or short, and Plouffsie is a speedy two-spot middle infielder who runs rings around 'Neausie.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Nothing like blowing a joke on the Internet!!! BTW... Every night is a slendid night for baseball. Vanimalsie was kind of a joke tonight.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I'm watching the Mets broadcast...did FSN show the two guys ice fishing in the upper deck?
Badsmerf Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I'm watching the Mets broadcast...did FSN show the two guys ice fishing in the upper deck?Yes they did. Did they look like a couple tools on the Mets broadcast too?
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Don't worry guys, we got Pedro
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 So what did I miss? Oh just a coupla moonshots. Nothing you could see without a telescope.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Maybe Worley is injured? Possibly. after all who else but the Twins medical staff would advise pitching through your injury in a snowstorm.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Yes they did. Did they look like a couple tools on the Mets broadcast too? Yup. Along with the other 3 or 4 thousand people who paid good money to watch this. Wait...that includes me.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Don't worry guys, we got PedroFor another couple hours, till this game mercifully ends and Pedro gets sent down when they activate Diamond.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Vanimalsie was kind of a joke tonight. Vanimal walks into a bar. Bartender says... Why'd you give up so many runs. Give me those stupid glasses.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Vanimal is very hittable. Unless he can get movement and grounders off his hittable stuff, we might be seeing more games like this. I didn't see the entire appearance, so I guess I didn't see any indication that he wasn't trying to compete.
GCTF Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I'm sure all the fansicles are hoping for the big comeback right about now.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I didn't see the entire appearance... Well, that's understandable, given it only lasted 4 outs. On the other hand, if you go by time, you must have missed the first 90 minutes.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Niese can implode with the best of em. 5th inning only
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Vanimalsie was kind of a joke tonight. Knock Knock Who's there? Vanimal!!! Like I'm letting you in!!!
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Down 6 with one out and you send Morneau? Thought there was a rule against sending him into collision/close plays at the plate.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Well, that's understandable, given it only lasted 4 outs. On the other hand, if you go by time, you must have missed the first 90 minutes. Must be some kind of relativistic effect like the Lorentz Contraction, caused by slower-than-bat travel. Not to be confused with the 2002 Minnesota Twins Contraction.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Did everyone see those chuckle heads fighting for the bat?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Knock KnockWho's there?Vanimal!!!Like I'm letting you in!!! Guy has a talking dog. He brings it to a talent scout. "This dog can speak English," he claims to the unimpressed agent. "Okay, Sport," the guys says to the dog, "what’s on the top of a house?" "Worley, and he's about to jump!" the dog replies.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Vanimalsie was kind of a joke tonight. Why did the Vanimal cross the road?
