I'm disappointed we found out a game or 2 ago that negative exit velocity is not a thing. Too bad cuz it would aptly describe the Twin's season so far this year.

Gotta love how the only good contact after Kepler's hit was Arraez's AB, but of course there were 2 outs. We keep getting killed by having awful ABs from the black holes in our lineups once we get runners on.

To be fair, they only locked in his arbitration years and didn't actually extend him past his FA window except for an option... and he had just hit .923 OPS with a 36% K rate in 2019. I really can't fault them for this, but hopefully they'll know when to cut bait.

Player acquisitions were discussed ad infinatum in the offseason. The Twins went with a Simmons, Cruz, Happ, and Shoemaker. Many of us called to load up the bullpen but many others believed the additions made were the correct choices. The season plays out to shine a light on a strength or expose weaknesses.

Actually no, though that's where we were trying to go with it. Velo is measured off the bat so there really isn't any negative Velo.
