Potential Article: Trade Candidate: Nick Punto

[DaveW]

Pros:

He is probably better then any internal MI we have at this point.

He provides a better option to "push" Plouffe at 3B then Hannahan (though not by a ton)

Ever since he left we have been losing a ton of games.

Good clubhouse guy. Book it.

Can teach the younger guys how to slide head first.

Scrappy

Sexy

Dreamy

Cons:

None that I can think of.

He is still loved and wanted in Boston

Oh wow, now you are just trolling....

If they acquire Punto, I won't watch a game this year...

That's nine for the Pro list now. One more for an official Top Ten List! Although I'd contend that Sexy and Dreamy are too similar to be listed separately.

I wish we could bring back all the Pirahnas....

What would the Dodgers want for Punto? If they would take Blackburn, this might be a win-win.

If you trade Butera for him a mill.$ and a case of Tide.

[greengoblinrulz]

doesnt Butera have Gardy's spot right now for #1 manlove on the squad.....dont need competition

[nicksaviking]

Not interested, but other than the non-prospect it would take to get him, how is it a worse idea than signing Jack Hannahan?

you have to create competition for these jobs

[Cris E]

Punto can play SS and 2b with a straight face. Hannahan can only handle the corners, and the bench is too short for that.
