For a team that preaches analytics... why bring Rogers in when he has been terrible in back to back games...

Not only that, he needs to get 4 outs this time.

Rogers already at a lot of pitches. Let’s put Graterol in and see if he can handle the pressure. Indians lost so wouldn’t be the end of the world and we can see if we can trust him when it matters most

Pace yourself.  The playoffs are going to be much more stressfull. The ALCS games against the Yankees will be epic! Real pukers.

Our potential playoff opponents have a few decent hitters in their own right.

 

My point is this: there have been a lot of discussions lately about the bullpen turning a corner, even becoming an advantage. I’m still wondering how our bullpen will hold up against quality offenses in the playoffs. We’ll see an offense equal to or better than Boston in the playoffs (Houston/New York). All the August numbers against Detroit and Chicago mean almost nothing. I need to see it against a high-end offense.

The other side of the coin is you have just one team to home in on, not several, and you can go deep into matchups and such that way.

 

It might be Houston, but all resources will be aimed at Houston.
