As per usual, Walters gets interesting with his blurbs at the end of his column. Take it with a huge grain of salt.

I still don’t know why Cleveland is supposed to be a seller yet, but I’m also not counting on the Walters, Monas or Neals of the world to enlighten me.

I cannot imagine Cleveland willing to sell. If Bauer was an option, I'd certainly look closer... Personally, I'd want Brad Hand from there though. 

 

And if they're looking in the division, well, Matt Boyd is on the market.

the more I think of it, the less I like trading w/ Cleveland. Cleveland could trade one of their 5 starters for hitters and remain very competitive.

 

I like Boyd and Detroit is a lot further away. Not nearly as competitive the next couple years.

They will trade for hitters, whether or not we choose to participate. Question is whether you want to have one of those pitchers such as Bauer, when Cleveland obtains those hitters, or some other team have him while we locate someone else.
