It happens all the time. Right after recognizing an ump for his 3000th game, there's a close play at the base he's umping.

She and I were sitting here, watching the game, and discussing the, uh...end times. Sort of ... relevant for us, y'know?

 

Anywhoo, I told her I didn't want to be kept alive, in a vegatative state, if it came to that. "Pull the plug," I said. "I don't wanna be dependent on machines to keep me animated, getting my fluids from a bottle."

 

So she got up, took my beer, and turned off the TV.
