Platoon Verified Member Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 You mean like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4s5XOFnv7IRest his soul. There may have been no one funnier for fans of sophomoric humor than Leslie Nielsen. Now I am tempted to turn the game off and watch Airplane.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 It’s kind of hard to hit a guy who throws 95 on the outer edge on strike two every time.Especially when the outer edge is apparently 6” off the plate

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 Especially when the outer edge is apparently 6” off the plateAt least he’s consistently bad. He’s calling strikes balls and balls strikes. He is the reason why there will be roboumps someday. Some of these guys are THAT bad.

ashbury Verified Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Hardly anything prettier to watch than a good two-strike curve, called.
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Gibson got away with the hanging curve
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Gibson got away with the hanging curveDoesn't Gibby go with the four-seamer more now than in the past? If so, isn't a high curve for a strike a reasonable thing to go for?
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Froze him, wowFreeze-frame, J Geils Band. Did you know, there is another Peter Wolf in the music world besides J Geils lead singer? He was primarily a record producer in the 80s working with such artists as Starship and Heart.
snepp Verified Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 That elusive .200 average continues to elude LoMo, last eclipsed on June 2nd.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 I don’t think getting behind by this many runs is a good idea considering the fellow pitching to us
Platoon Verified Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 That elusive .200 average continues to elude LoMo, last eclipsed on June 2nd.Its rare to find such consistency in a MLB player these days. So many are streaky nowadays.

Another Tom Kelly was a songwriter, primarily in the 1980s, composing the music for (among othes) Cyndi Lauper, the Bangles and Madonna. Yet another Tom Kelly was prominent in the 1960s as the lead manager of Northrup Grumman, the contractor that built the lunar landers. #lighthearted

His average has been remarkable stable since his "hot" streak pushed him all the way up to .211 and then dipped back below .200, three months ago.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Time for Kyle to hit the showers
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Gibson has not been good tonight, but the home plate umpire was bad too.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Please tell me someone is warming up.You mean other than the entire Indians lineup tonight?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Is Kyle hurt or something? <50% strikes is a shocking number with 75 pitches thrown
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Time for the new guys, let's see if they are worth having around.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 Is Kyle hurt or something? <50% strikes is a shocking number with 75 pitches thrownHe’s been bad, it happens. That said, I’d wager there have been 6-7 pitches called balls that should have been strikes.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2018 Posted August 7, 2018 I expect those kind of at bats from 2/3 of our lineup, but not you, joe.
