Adrianza is one of the league's better defensive infielders... I'm not sure what you mean by that.

One bad inning does not make Odorizzi a bad pitcher.

Can't blame him... Two Run Home Runs are pretty rare in baseball.

I absolutely knew with certainty before it happened that Molitor would wait until the lead was gone before pulling Odorizzi. You could see him losing confidence and command as that inning unfolded. Yet you let him walk the go ahead run on, then give up a HR after falling behind. He’s lucky it wasn’t a three run HR instead of two.

The problem is the Twins scoring 2 and then giving up 3 the next half inning is kind of common.

Duke was the guy who got up after the leadoff homer. He was probably trying to get through the Righties with Odorizzi.

its a valid point because Odorizzi runs high pitch counts, but the hardest job of a manager is when to pull the starter

It's just that they still haven't let go of the way things were while getting the new data thrown at them.

Except Odorizzi was showing zero signs of trouble thru his 5 innings so there would have been no reason to take him out of the game when the 3rd time came around.
