USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 The Astros have added Garrit Cole, Justin Verlander, and Charlie Morton to their staff in the last 18 months, losing little to nothing of any importance along the way. Incredible.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Hey...anybody know where Noah kept his bees? Did you check through your Arc-Hives to find that joke?

Incredible. Cole was an above average starter that never lived up to the hype. Verlander was a hall of famer looking like his best years was behind him. Morton was a journeyman. All came to Houston and exceeded expectations.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 I'm Ok with errors of enthusiasm but Petit should have put that ball in his pocket.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 If Petit fakes a throw to 1st, he might nail Maldonado at 2nd.

Cole and Morton have exceptional stuff and are exactly the type of pitchers you should be looking to acquire cheaply. Many here begged long and hard for a Cole trade this off season.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Tough turn, but Dozier's noodle arm probably cost a DP there.
twinssporto Verified Member Posted May 13, 2018 Author Posted May 13, 2018 These are the games that make Championship teams. It will be fun to see how the Twins handle the pressure. Great experience for Romero too!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 So for Mother's Day, I took Mrs Chief out last night. Dinner, and then to a comedy club. As you may know, we have a rather large Hispanic population here in Tucson, and the comedian last night was actually a Hispanic magician who combined magic with his comedy. Fantastic show, but he mixed in a lot of Spanish into his act. Neither Mrs Chief nor I speak much Spanish, but I could have sworn he said he was going to disappear on the count of three, but all I heard was "Uno!, Dos" and then poof, he was gone. Gone without a Tres.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Turn the television off? Nah... I'll keep watching. Was just hoping there was medication I could take.
