Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Author Posted May 12, 2018 Unfortunately some of these starters are going to have to suck it up and give innings. Lynn is at 75 pitches. Our already shaky bullpen is going to decimated by mid June. Can’t keep asking 4+ innings from them every single night.Fair point, and i agree with that. But with a lineup of trout and ofhani, and Lynn basically throwing 3 different versions of the same pitch, I think I’d go to the pen. However, trout just hit a frozen rope line out to Eduardo, so maybe we’ll be fine.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 No matter the weather, Lynn always looks like he just exited a saunaYou know in Finland saunas, they.... never mind

Pretty shocking
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Whatever happened to "too close to take" Good lord
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Lynn isn't even performing at the level of a 5th starter this season. It's a wonder he ever asked for $20M a season on the free agent market.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Author Posted May 12, 2018 No reason NOT to go Rogers here. Lynn allowing an OPS of like .900+ to lefties. Don’t like this move.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I can’t continue to watch this guy pitch
snepp Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Lulz. *pining for Hughes as a starter, *shudder*
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Author Posted May 12, 2018 I’d be lying if I said I didn’t expect that.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 2-2 pitch was not that close, 3-2 pitch was not even close
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Wait, I thought they said Rogers was coming in to face Ohtani? I stopped watching because I thought there was a break... well, poo.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I admittedly don’t watch much non twins baseball, was Lynn really some stud pitcher at one point? Dude looks like Sidney ponson
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Author Posted May 12, 2018 At least dozier came to play.

Dude looks like Sidney ponsonI will try an answer. Lynn was an above average guy with the Cardinals, always took the ball, but had an odd demeanor (watch some of his post game interviews baiting reporters). Cardinals had no interest in bringing him back after his arb years. I am not surprised he has the worst deal of the "big four" free agents (Arrieta, Cobb, Darvish), but I certainly am surprised it was the Twins who signed him.

Dude looks like Sidney ponsonMaybe that's what happened. "Sid, all they are going to give me is 1 yr / $12M, which is pretty insulting. I could use some time off and you could use some beer money. How about you pretend you're me and I'll split the checks with you."
JustinCB Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Ugh this Lance Lynn stuff giving me nightmares of laborious pelfrey starts. Absolute disaster
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 That boneheaded delayed steal costs a run.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Author Posted May 12, 2018 Oh dozier. Can’t een get excited about that homer.
JustinCB Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Laborious doesn't even begin to start
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Well, damn. That was a smart play by Dozier but he got beat. And then Rosario smacks a pitch he shouldn’t even hit.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Dozier did that in the Yankees series too. I don't know if he thinks he has world class sprint speed, or what.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Dozier did that in the Yankees series too. I don't know if he thinks he has world class sprint speed, or what. And with one of the few HR threats in the lineup at bat
gil4 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 Not getting a fuzzy feeling about this oneFuzzy feelings are overrated. I already had chicken for dinner today, so we have to win.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2018 Author Posted May 12, 2018 Bottom half of the order looks like the 2016 twins.
