The worst ever was the Hamsters in the KIA Soul. Somebody on Madison Avenue came up with this idea, story boarded the idea, presented the idea to co-workers, refined the idea, locked in the idea, pitched the idea to KIA .

 

And then KIA... after listening to other ideas from competitors before decided:  "YEAH... Hamsters driving a KIA Soul... I love it... where do I sign the contract"? 

 

What does Hamster have to do with a Car?

 

Commercials are so bad I'm seriously considering getting rid of my Direct TV MLB account and going back to streaming.

 

For whatever reason, when I stream the games to my TV, no commercials, just the Twins logo dancing quietly on the screen.

I've long thought advertising companies pitch multiple ideas knowing full well there's a real clunker in the bunch..yet, somehow, a company, once in a while, picks what is arguably one of the worst ideas.

The hamsters look like an LSD flashback version of the characters from the pilot episode of a 1970's live-action Saturday morning kids' show that didn't get picked up by the network because all the kids in the focus test-viewing audience wet their pants in terror.

 

But I'll leave it to someone with a marketing background to explain how childhood trauma + hallucinogenics = car purchase.

 

Anyway, on the subject of pants-wetting terror, Rodney was surprisingly effective tonight! And the Twins' offense got Berrios a win on a night when he didn't have his best stuff but still went six to spare the pen another really long night, so nice job, boys!
