What on earth is wrong with Berrios? I get having a bad start now and again, but 3 starts in a row (with 2 very poor teams)? I thought he was ace material, if he can’t pull himself out of this funk mentally he may be a #3 at best, good stuff but not mentally strong to gut out performances when he doesn’t have “it”, all the good ones are capable of that. It seems Berrios is only good when his stuff is on, if it’s not well he then pitches like a #5 apparently.

 

Sorry to rant, I love the kid but he hasn’t shown a lot of mental toughness in his last 3 starts and has yet to find what made him good for his first 3/4 starts.

Yup, I expected him to mow through this lineup. But I also expected him to do that against the reds.
