Zack "Stone Cold" Granite.

Didn’t we go through the whole slate of possibilities for him, with all the accompanying puns included?

... rock bottom.

Comedy gold, a real gem of a post.

It's crystal clear that we shouldn't take offerings like this for granite.

You two are really putting me between a rock and a hard place determining whose ‘jokes’ are more groan worthy.

(And of course the answer is ‘yes.’)

Ya know, if it weren't for the comment policy we could really be a lot boulder with the jokes.

speaking of which, lots of open pit mine size holes left in the April game thread schedule.

I know many of you who dig the game threads are ready to put shovel to earth and fill em.

Step right up.

I will stick with my two names on home run celebrations:

ESCO-BOMB!! and BIG BUX, BIG BUX (also represents his future contract extension).

Fernando Rodney: This one’s a stretch, but stick with me. You know that pointing to the sky he does after every save as a way of remembering his dad? Perhaps he’s also pointing up there and singing, “There was something in the air that night, the stars were bright, Fernando. They were shining there for you and me, for liberty, Fernando.” And the most important line: “Though we never thought that we could lose, there’s no regret. If I had to do the same again, I would, my friend, Fernando.” So every time he gets the save, let’s give it up for “Abba” Rodney.

Big Abba fan here. I hum that tune whenever I hear the name Fernando. That said I sure hope the two verses "can you hear the drums Fernando" and "The roar of guns and cannons almost made me cry" are not actually well struck baseballs instead of musical instruments and weapons. :)

It's been done before. 37 years ago. Google Fernandomania Dodgers. And BTW I generally like ABBA, but you'd never have gotten me to admit that back when they were popular.

Good thing there are no warning points until Opening Day, right?

...Right?

Only if you sign up to do a game thread ... or two ... :)
