Sano was activated from the 10 day DL.  Hopefully this means he is at least available to PH for the Detroit series, maybe DH against the evil empire on the 3rd.

If they advance, great.  Maybe a pinch-hitter to force the Yankees to make a move.

 

But, color me skeptical he can step right in and make contact, let alone do damage.

This also might be some team service.  Sano is probably rehabbing still but gets to celebrate with the team officially.  I'd personally doubt he would do anymore than PH in the upcoming games, and he gets the team celebration he deserves for his performance this year.

 

All in all, should be a fun weekend/wildcard. A Miguel Sano pinch-hit go-ahead 3 run HR in the Bronx just has a good ring to it right?

It might look a little wierd, but I would DH him and bat him leadoff all 3 days.  Get him as many at bats as possible.  Probably pinch run for him if he gets on late in a game.

A three game DH tuneup sounds good to me.

 

I might not even start him in the WC game, but if it comes down to a RH pinch hitter against Chapman, I'd tather run him out there instead of Giminez or Garver.
