Game Thread: Twins @ Royals; 6:15 CDT, 9/9/17

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

Easy to say in hindsight, but with the 2-3-4 hitters up, I would have just let them rip it, instead of trying to small ball a run.

[jokin]

Hopefully he signs in the NL so the game count goes the other way.  `

I guess I could hope KC overpays to re-sign him, reducing the likelihood they pose a threat to the Twins over the next few years.

When you're struggling with the Mendoza line, it seems impossible NOT to overpay Gordon.

[USAFChief]

If we qualify, no way he gets canned. Hate to say it

eh...I dunno about that.

Maybe I'm just wishcasting.

You can say what you like. And he doesn't have to get canned. His contract expires. That was the deal.

103 losses to the playoffs, I'd hate for you to be my boss

It's easy to say in foresight.

stop. wasting. outs. on. purpose.

True.

[Aggies7]

best to put the leadoff runner on.

[USAFChief]

I bet KC doesn't bunt.

[h2oface]

Pressly and the Twins' bullpen. Kings of the hit given up on an 0-2 count.

[Aggies7]

Now pressly is gonna poop himself.

This isn't going to end well.

[Aggies7]

Holy hell throw strikes

Exactly!

Yost trying to out dumb Molitor?

Pressly helps him out.

4 pitch walk. Pathetic.

I'm trying to throw a bone to the well meaning folks on other threads who say we're wrong

[Aggies7]

Horrendous job by Ryan. Truly awful.

[h2oface]

Pressly and Duffey. Can't take the heat.

[USAFChief]

Somebody in the front office needs to put their foot down on the GD bunting.

[yarnivek1972]

Wanna bet Hosmer doesn't bunt?

[Aggies7]

As bad as the royals have played, they at least know how to take an out when someone is giving it to them.

Amen.

[Hosken Bombo Disco]

If and when this ends poorly, I'm not sure how I'll feel about it. KC smoked line drives off of Berrios all night, but somehow only had two runs through seven.

They can do that by placing their foot on the manager's backside.

I just hope to God it isn't Falvine pushing this premise.

[Aggies7]

Just for s***s and gigs (and because I'm a masochist), I really want to see what this bullpen would do in a 5 game playoff series.

Crafty minimizing?

[h2oface]

Boshers with runners on. What are you gonna do. It is the bullpen. Best to go to the pen with a 5 run lead and less pressure.

[howeda7]

Buddy Boshers doesn't get the job done. Shocking.

[Aggies7]

Boshers, the other white flag.
