AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Not really. Not the way Sano is swinging.Sure, he's struck out against Chris Archer. Still want a prolific home run hitter up in that situation.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Good news! OBP Jedi master Rosario is up

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 It wasn't just Archer. He had 6 K in the last two games in Baltimore.I got it, he has struck out in 8 consecutive at bats. He's still the most likely player on the roster to win the game with one good swing.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Sure, he's struck out against Chris Archer. Still want a prolific home run hitter up in that situation. If I was the Manager... I'm not of course... but If I was the manager... I'm the home team... I get last ups... There is nobody on with two out. I have another inning no matter what. I'm not burning my resources in that situation. If the Rays score in the 10th... I will need Sano to go for a home run when Rosario, Buxton and Castro are the scheduled hitters. If the we get a runner on 3rd with less than two outs... I'm liking the chance to turn to Grossman for contact. It was a good time to let Escobar bat.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 I wonder what Eddie could do if he choked up with two strikes

You are more willing to use Sano if the Twins are trailing I'm willing to use Sano if I'm down by a run and need a home run. Anybody would in that situation. I'm ok sitting Sano... he is struggling but if I need a home run and Castro is up with two outs and nobody on. Yeah... I'm telling Sano to get a bat.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Well....Mauer will get a shot at a 5 hit day, and my Kepler walk off prediction could still come true
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 It will be interesting to see how the team responds IF we end up losing. Shocked the way that 9th went
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Belisle to face the heart of the order....hmmm

Despite his strikeouts, having him sit for a couple of games seems odd.

Blake Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 No matter which way this game goes, it's been quite the game.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Molly said before the game it wasn't health relatedOkay, thanks for the information. I didn't catch that, obviously.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 No matter which way this game goes, it's been quite the game. 4 1/2 hours. Only one extra inning played so far.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Okay, thanks for the information. I didn't catch that, obviously. I saw it on Twitter when looking for why Sano wasn't starting
Jerr Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 What a beautiful day to be there at Target Field for a Twins win!!!!
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Didn't MLB ban chewing tobacco?

It is kinda odd... but he is also really struggling so maybe they are working on something so it doesn't get worse. I'm not that worried about it... I had pulled off my fantasy lineup regardless... went with Brandon Drury instead.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Didn't MLB ban chewing tobacco? Those already playing in the MLB before 2016 are grandfathered in, it was only for new players.

Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Thank Christ the bloodhound with the endless wings is gone. Can hear myself think again.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Ah thanks. The only reason I knew that is because I had the same thought about a month ago and looked it up lol
