yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Seriously, STOP HITTING IT TO HIM.
DrNeau Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Make-up call on that 3-0 pitch to Mauer. Come on, Joe.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Good send. Souza hasn't thrown a strike all day.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Okay, if I'm being consistent, the call at the plate isn't overturned. Therefore, the call needs to be overturned.
drock2190 Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Umps not in Paul's back pocket today
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Man, I thought Dozier got a finger on the plate before he was tagged.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Wow, Kiermaier made a Buxton-esque catch to steal Polanco's extra base hit. I think those two CFs are the best defensive CFs in baseball right now.
mickeymental Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Author Posted May 28, 2017 stick a fork in mauer -- can't even hit a triple.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 I'm not gonna bitch about the base running aggressiveness. This team seems to have that mentality and it has been working. It was a bang bang play.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Damn it. I'm mid-flight so can only hear this ... i guess I can watch the archived game when I get to where I'm going.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Okay, while I think not overturning the call was the right call, I'm starting to think New York is showing some East Coast bias.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Which one is the most unexpected: Rosario walking twice in the same game or Mauer being one triple away from a cycle?I thjust no that's pretty easily answered ... and no, I'm not saying 'yes' because I think there is a clear answer ... Rosario walking twice in a game.

DrNeau Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Mauer goes from .265/.704 to .285/.768 in one game. Wow. Pretty big jump for approaching June. Big day.

AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 CBU: Mauer raises his average from 265 to 285 this afternoon, hits game tying homer.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Man, I thought Dozier got a finger on the plate before he was tagged.Definitely had a finger on the "black" as Bert would say
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Wow, Kiermaier made a Buxton-esque catch to steal Polanco's extra base hit. I think those two CFs are the best defensive CFs in baseball right now. I thought I heard a stat during this series that the Rays had the third best defense in the AL (by some standards/stats). The Twins were number 1.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 I thought the proper answer was "Yes." I award you no bonus points. If those choices were more equal, then yes, the correct answer was yes. But I just couldn't say that for that. Now, if Mauer had actually hit for the cycle and the choices were Rosario walking twice in a game or Joe hitting for the cycle, then the answer would've been yes.
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Dozier and Rosario both should have been called safe on those plays.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Are your arms getting tired? Not really. I'm a tennis player. I have strong arms and shoulders.
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 96? Where's that coming from?The wind
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Not really. I'm a tennis player. I have strong arms and shoulders. So you are "athletic".

The Twins were number 1.I'm not sure what those standards or stats might have been, but I know they have allowed the second most unearned runs in the AL.
