Fourth curve to Benintendi, easy fly to right. Inning over. Gorgeous pitching.

These details are harder for me to pick up on, listening via radio feed. Sucks living in the Boston metro for series like this.

I'd use Kintzler next inning, but no way Molly does. If you think he is the best reliever use him against the other team's best batters.

Maybe that's why Kintzler pitches the ninth.

I've heard of people who pay for that, if they want a whole season of Boston sports and not just the good games against the Twins.

The other teams best batters do not always hit in the 9th. It doesn't make sense to save your best reliever for the worse hitters in the lineup.

That's where it's nice to have Joe in the lineup, as much as hell as he takes.

Not sure if there's anyone else on this team I'd rather have up with a runner on third and less than two out, when you absolutely need the run. When he needs to put the ball in play, he does it.

The problem is, that contact often doesn't leave the infield.  In this case, the ground ball got through, but that's a matter of luck.  

 

It worked though, and better'n a K, for sure.
