mnsportsgeek Provisional Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 So... how is progress going on that designated fielder rule? Joe A. Preusser, Dozier's Glorious Hair and Mill1634 3
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Not sure I like these decisions to let the two most K prone guys on the team swing away in these situations. Really could use another run here.Whatdya mean!? Better to go down swinging at garbage than take those pitches!
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 But do you make contact?I make "incidental" contact until I get thrown out. Dozier's Glorious Hair, kydoty and Aggies7 3
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Agreed, but man I hate to lose that elite CF play.K's are out weighing his fielding at this point!!!!!
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I thought that commercial about confidence might be about ED, but nope cars! Thankfully they followed with a boner commercial. Was starting to feel cheated.Mental ED is no laughing matter alskntwnsfn 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Agreed, but man I hate to lose that elite CF play.I don't disagree with this, but we need to do something. He simply can't hit a baseball right now. At least 1 day off would maybe do him some good. Joe A. Preusser 1
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I have no problem listening to their radio guys. Harrelson needs to grab some bench. He did grab bench. He's not there. I said without, not with.
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Holy crap. We gotta give him a day off. He is overmatched, and simply providing no value at the plate. it's as simple as that. If you can't hit, you shouldn't be in the lineup. He can hit the 9 hole for me if he plays defense like he does consistently. Joe A. Preusser 1
spinowner Provisional Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I'm not sure that's a reviewable call, though. I get the circumstances, but it's not an objective type of review.Technically it wasn't reviewed. The replay was used to make the original call.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Lol that was not a strike MNTSchmitt 1
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 K's are out weighing his fielding at this point!!!!!Weeeeeeeeellll, it's close. He's been absolutely money in the field. Blake 1
Darius Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I like the way Duffy looks out of the pen. GP830 1
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 He can hit the 9 hole for me if he plays defense like he does consistently.I still expect the nine hitter to make contact one out of 4 times Jerr and Aggies7 2
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Weeeeeeeeellll, it's close. He's been absolutely money in the field. And absolutely an out at the plate.
Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 It's been a few tough days for Buck offensively, but i don't want this org to give up on him and send him down. I do believe he will get it together. spinowner, Circus Boy, Blake and 2 others 5
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I still expect the nine hitter to make contact one out of 4 timesSeriously. You could pay me 100,000 and I'll give you just as many Ks
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Technically it wasn't reviewed. The replay was used to make the original call.Okay, right ... not what I was getting at ... I didn't know that replay was allowed to be used in a subjective situation like that. Even the Sox announcers questioned it. And they also said before and during it should be what it was so they weren't questioning the outcome, just the process.
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Gawd, the ChiSox catcher is good entertainment. Between falling down everytime he throws back to the pitcher and nearly going down on that last backswing... good stuff.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 And absolutely an out at the plate. You're not wrong. Jerr 1
Jerr Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 It's been a few tough days for Buck offensively, but i don't want this org to give up on him and send him down. I do believe he will get it together.Sit him on the bench and extra batting practice with real pitches, not batting practice!!!! alskntwnsfn and Mill1634 2
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 If everyone wins 60 and loses 60, why isn't the season just 40 games long ?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Gawd, the ChiSox catcher is good entertainment. Between falling down everytime he throws back to the pitcher and nearly going down on that last backswing... good stuff. He did that all last year, too. Wonder how long he's done that? MNTSchmitt 1
MNTSchmitt Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I still expect the nine hitter to make contact one out of 4 timesWhen the season is all said and done, I'm sure that's what his average will be atleast.
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Who will be pitching the 8th? I think Duffy has another inning in him.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 If everyone wins 60 and loses 60, why isn't the season just 40 games long ? Because then we would only go 40-0 instead of 162-0?? Aggies7, MNTSchmitt and Joe A. Preusser 3
alskntwnsfn Verified Member Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 He did that all last year, too. Wonder how long he's done that?I remember that, I only wonder if he's reciting Playboy Playmate profiles when he does it. Joe A. Preusser, Squirrel, Dozier's Glorious Hair and 1 other 4
