It's maybe just me, but I feel even GT regulars are starting to fade. It's up to us to keep the faith to keep a stiff upper lip, to .......... Ah what's the use.

Really?  Late to the party tonight, but I thought last night's game thread was one of the best ever.  I'm not sure there was actually a game, but the game thread was fun.

Good call.  I was pretty confident they would get it wrong on replay and a 2-run HR would follow.  This year that's called playing the odds.

I'm only a tiny bit drunk but I think if we can get a few good arms next year or the year after we will have a great ball club.

 

I'm starting to get ready for next year. Am I delusional?

threy need significant improvement on about 7 pitchers, I don't see that happening in one off season that they are also retooling management, coaching, and talent evaluation

Did we get rid of Butera because he couldn't hit?  I can't remember.

It turns out the problem was he never got to face Twins pitching.  (Should pitching be in quotes, or are we not quite there yet.)

Yes, but it's adorable. And I agree that this Twins team has the silver lining of several guys who are in or approaching that age/experience range where players, especially hitters, often make a significant stride forward.

It's like I'm suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.  We won and I'm not sure what to do or how to feel...

The jailers are telling us to shut up and get back into our jail cells for the winter, so I suppose we should probably shut up and head back to our cells.

I wasn't there but, but that night was expecting a replacement for a photo someone (turns out it was you) had posted the night before of mindcrime's reaction to "As the Game Thread approaches the brutal 8th inning wall of another blowout, Brian and Chief arrive just in time to pass out 'Likes' to weary posters..."  I guess I'm still waiting.

That's OK.  You're afflicted with the Stockholm Syndrome too.  It will eventually pass.

 

A lot of therapy, a new Front Office, a new coaching staff and a few trades will have you back to normal in no time.

My advice is to expect literary genius along the lines of "There once was a man from Nantucket". As luck would have it, the few times I've truly risen to the occasion in my life have been ones where expectations were low.

Great idea!!  LaBombo could plagerize "The Stand"  and incorporate it into a Twins saga.
