Congrats, Twins! They defeated the Astros 8-2. Too bad we didn't see a win or a loss from today's real game.

What a dumb rule..  Why can't it just continue?  Lame.  Oh well.  

Yeah, but there is a silver lining. It's nice to see the Twins being penalized by this rule for a change instead of actively cheering on the rain to erase their deficit...

Pretty sure this rule is like a few others in that its origin can probably be traced to careful calculations to determine the play resumption regulations that would ultimately lead to the sale of the most beer.

I'm sure the sale of the most tickets is factored in (which directly leads to the sale of the most beer).  How many people are going to buy tickets for a game (or trade in rain checks for a game) that's already 5-0?

Man, this sucks. The team lights up Keuchel for five runs in two innings and the slate is wiped clean because of rain.

 

I'm not saying it's wrong or a bad ruling but it sucks hard.
