Game Thread: Astros @ Twins, 8/10 @ 7:10 CT

[Platoon]

I see on gameday that Plouffe hit into a dp.  Listening to the static, I couldn't tell, but should have known.

Maybe he would have made it if he hadn't stopped to listen to the static!

//edit: He didn't stop, it just looked like he did!

[wavedog]

Polanco can bunt - so it is possible to learn that in our system unless he studied that on his own. I've seen so many bad bunts I am not sure.

[Platoon]

Polanco's got acumen, damn it.

I had that also, but the doctor gave me a penicillin shot, cured it!

Top of 2nd Report

Correa strikes out looking.

Gonzalez singles.

Tucker reaches 1st on Plouffe's error, Gonzalez to 2nd.

Marisnick strikes out swinging.

Castro strikes out swinging.

In this universe, Santana is a strikeout monster.

So Plouffe isn't moving his feet in Strato-Matic!!!

BTW... I'm enjoying these posts... I may turn off the TV and just watch these posts.

Rosario's acumen rating thus far tonight: Lucky-ish.

I'm just going to whistle on my way by this because I've stopped too many times.

I'll just say that I honestly do respect everybody's opinion and right to those opinions.

That is too fair!

[DrNeau]

That was beautiful, Rosario!

[Halsey Hall]

Roserio with an rbi, time for a trip to the mound to stall for the storm.

[NoCryingInBaseball]

Dozier!!

[ScrapTheNickname]

Weather Underground says rain starting at 9:45. What does it look like in Minnesota? I be in Arizona - big time monsoon rains every afternoon. Sweet.

[Riverbrian]

Dozier!!

That was done right

Only Home Runs get the 48 Font Size.

Exclamations Points are still appropiate.

Well Done

[ashbury]

I want to peek ahead and find out what Strat-O has to say about Sano with the bases loaded!

[Riverbrian]

Correa with a bad boot.

Hope they DFA him now

I think my board game predicted Correa's error. (Correa had an error in the 1st in my game)

I bet it doesn't have the Correa Error

Edit: Ok... Ignore this

Move On... Nothing to see here.

[Halsey Hall]

Plouffe uses his head and k's to get this game moving along.

Strat-o-matic Bottom of 2nd Report

Polanco flies out to left.

Escobar singles to center.

Keuchel throws a wild pitch - Escobar advances to 2nd.

Suzuki pops out in foul territory.

Rosario pops out in foul territory.

Too bad the Twins didn't smash Keuchel like they did in real life.

[ashbury]

Correa with a bad boot.

I forgot to post this when an error was made with Kepler at bat.

Breaking News:

Major League Baseball has just announced that Dallas Kuechel will not win the Cy Young Award this year.

[jimbo92107]

Wow, the Twins are doing a piranha job on Houston. Hitting the ball everywhere there's a little gap. Nice.

[HitInAPinch]

Looks like Twins are giving ol' Cy Keuchel   a spanking

Strat-o-Matic. Great memories. I wore the cards out from playing so many hundreds of games. I had the 1969 version, limited teams - Twins, Orioles, Reds, A's?

Great idea to include it in the Thread!

So much for WeatherUnderground.

[Aggies7]

Oh hey, destini Molitor. I'm sure your gluten free chicken noodle soup is a big hit.

You Minnesota guys might need a submarine to stay dry in a few minutes. Look at all the red on that radar!
