Minniman Verified Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Your analysis is based on "All Star, Batting Avg., and RBI"? FYI, his OBP since June 1 is .295 Yeah, he played poorly after the break, but so has the whole team. Again, it may work out for the Twins, but it is just funny how low this team has gone.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 I think the Twins get more if they take on more risk, but by picking up a near ML ready pitcher sitting in AAA with some quasi-decent upside, they pretty much priced that out. That isn't a bad outcome in my opinion, especially if it means an all out push in 2017 to go young and upside in their rotation.
Monkeypaws Verified Member Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Eduardo is having a nice day in SF, his first start(at short). Single and stolen base, and 2 run double. He was certainly our most competent hitter and base runner this season. Shaitan 1
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Thought experiment: if we hadn't already acquired him for Nunez, would you have accepted Mejia in return for Suzuki? Abad? Kintzler? Ervin Santana?Absolutely x3 followed by one "hell no". jimmer 1

Lots of donuts.Little known factoid: the original title of the book "Moneyball" was "Dollars to Donuts." Or should that be "Donuts to Dollars"?
ShouldaCouldaWoulda Verified Member Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Looking at the boxscore from tonight, it appears that Nunez likely lost the game for the Giants on a throwing error. The only error of the game, and I see there was 4 unearned runs attached to Bumgarner. He also went 0-4, and 0-1 with RISP.
