Willihammer Provisional Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Safe! Or he should be. Ninja Vargas!
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Hurt his knee in the 4th? inning yesterday.ah, didn't know that. I was at a Triple A game yesterday night. Just knew the Twins won.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 OK, new rule. I don't care if there are two outs. Don't send Vargas home from second on anything less than a triple. Replay looks like he might have been safe, but who knows. I say we stick with the new rule. If we lose both Nunez and Vargas to calls where they made great slides to avoid the tag, but the umps called them out... -- nice overturned call there. Saved the big dog from going all Stay-Puffed Marshmallow man on his laptop.
formerly33 Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 The game is ridiculous. Certainly not a 'how to' clinic of baseball play.Wait a minute ... you're not actually implying that ridiculous and how to's don't go hand in hand, are you? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcFvtWpuqpI
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 This is back to being a 4 hour game
big dog Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 OK, here are two interesting things. 1) I would have bet $20 Rosario would run through that stop sign at third and be out by 40 feet. 2) Nolasco gave up 6 runs in 2 innings against the Red Sox and David Price, and doesn't get a loss.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 And now Buxton takes a walk. What alternate reality IS this?

operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I just caught up on DVR what a crazy game!
spinowner Provisional Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Manager says to his pitcher: 'You walked BUXTON?! yeah, you're done' :-)On four pitches. By a left-handed pitcher.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I assumed Rosario would barrel through that stop sign too
big dog Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 3) Vargas makes a ballet move to tie the game.Kennys actually learned that slide in spring training when Kepler's parents came to visit.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Nolasco gets off the hook!

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Damn that Nunez, always swinging at ball fours
wickedslider Provisional Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I think this is a real confidence builder for the team. To keep coming back again and again vs. a very good team in their park is impressive. Shows that they are starting to "get it" between the ears.
big dog Verified Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Wow, just freaking wow. Centeno was motoring there to score from second.

And I was down on them after last nights first inning
dgwills Provisional Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Grossman makes outs 1 and 3 for the inning. That's got to sting a little. Great 2 out hitting for the other guys
wickedslider Provisional Member Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Vargas's slide was quite reminiscent of a certain Randy Bush slide.
