twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I went out to lunch with the boss today, who has 2 kids - 3 years and 1 year old. We got on the subject of some of the milestones everyone has growing up. The most interesting milestone we talked about was learning how to drive a car... With the way automated cars are coming along, he doesn't think he'll have to teach his kids how to drive when they're 15-16 years old because at that point, nearly every car out there will be self driving. Pretty crazy to think about! If it prevents more 16 year old's from actually driving, I'm all for it!
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Actually, I think a lot of people think cars are self-driving already, what with all the people who do everything but drive when in their cars.No kidding. There are distracted drivers all over the place in the morning and evening traffic jam.. I'm guilty of it too, from time to time. It still struck a cord to me that soon enough there will be a generation of kids who will never experience what it's like when they're runnin' down the road, trying to loosen my load with seven women on their mind.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 It's CanadiAn! Good God, you aren't a Habs fan are you? Only those ****ers spell it that way.Says the guy who spells color "colour."
Foghorn Leghorn Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Comments? Surely you mean comment. It's not that people don't like them, it's just that it's always the same one. Lighten up, there are plenty of other of threads to voice your displeasure with all things Twins.Truth hurts... Not my fault the team stinks and I've been right.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Says the guy who spells color "colour."Your point? That I can spell I assume.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Shut out averted, at least... Could be worse.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Truth hurts... Not my fault the team stinks and I've been right. You don't say? You're quite the baseball mind my friend, that's a hot take.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 I thought one was an error...Shows how closely i follow gameday...On the other hand, they didn't last inning.oops, yeh, I forgot that I forgot that I missed that error- showing my age, I guess
Vanimal46 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 If it prevents more 16 year old's from actually driving, I'm all for it!Me too, there doesn't appear to be any drawbacks from it happening, other than someone hacking into the car I suppose. No more distracted driving, traffic can flow better now that human decision making is gone, and drunk driving is a thing of the past!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Says the guy who spells color "colour."I am a fan of creative spelling... Some email i saw earlier today had an interesting paragraph... Let me see if i can find, cut, and paste it...

No more distracted driving, traffic can flow better now that human decision making is gone, and drunk driving is a thing of the past! You should see some of the car hacks. It's downright scary what can be hacked in a car and how helpless the driver becomes.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Are the Twins hoping Pujols beats it into the ground Dick? Or are they hoping he doesn't beat it into outer space?

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Uh-oh... Duffey's in a little trouble... Any pitcher who walks out to the mound in a Twins uniform is, by default, in at least a little trouble.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 Does a team get penalized for juicing... the bases? (Fancy that. I spelled something wrong...)
