Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I assume the omission of Inver Grove Heights was simply an oversight? Yeah... I can't get to them all Inver Grove Heights is between Kalamazoo and Lincoln Nebraka.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Team just isn't that talented. Below average defensively and offensively. Very bad pitching. If we made an All AL Central 25 man roster, we might not even have one player on the team.Yes, but even mediocrity can put forth effort.
James Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 GREAT way of describing it!I agree. Coeur d'Alene is an amazing place.
gmarais66 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Welcome to Detroit Taylor Rogers!! Maybe the Tiger bullpen can throw that HR ball back in for you to save, so you can remember this moment forever...
PopRiveter Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Hop out of the game for a conference call and come back to find a 4-0 deficit......and before I can hit "Post," Kinsler hits one out. Twins performances are constant and reassuring to Minnesotans, like a forest fire to a Californian, or the smell of trash to a Detroiter.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I assume the omission of Inver Grove Heights was simply an oversight?I've seen some places too but mile for mile, Minnesota has it all and is #1 in my book, even Inver Grove.
jimmer Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Yes, but even mediocrity can put forth effort. No doubt. but this team just doesn't have the talent. don't seem to develop it well (at least as it pertains to the minor league talent flowing over the being able to play quality ML ball). The FA signings, the extensions, etc. again, this team likely wouldn't have a single player on a 25 man All AL Central roster. That's sad.
Blake Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I've seen some places too but mile for mile, Minnesota has it all and is #1 in my book, even Inver Grove. Where I live, not much to look at. However, gorgeous coast is a couple hours a way and in the winter, knee deep snow is an hour away. Meanwhile, we don't have to deal with rusted out cars or frozen nose hairs.
Pardon My Dinger Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Yes, but even mediocrity can put forth effort. Meh, I've seen it. Between the two, though, I'd prefer to stick with a bunch of talented loafers. Same result, more surprises.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 BTW My beloved 2013 Dodge Dart is in limbo. A Teenage Girl ran a stop sign last night at about 30 MPH and wrecked it pretty good. Gonna have to wait and see what the Claims adjuster has to say but in case of the worst... I just want to say that I loved that car. It got me too all those great places. Not only did she run a stop sign at full speed... She was in the wrong lane because she had to go around another car that was blocking her lane just to run the stop sign and nail me. I got out of the car ready to be absolutely pissed but she got out and came walking toward me crying and shaking... and before I could say anything... she looked at me and asked me if I was alright. At that moment... I realized I was indeed alright and this was going to be harder on her than I. BUT JEEZ... I REALLY LOVE THAT CAR.

Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 YAY, more hits than errors before the seventh inning was over!
gmarais66 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Three bloops and a bomb, and a bloop and a bomb and the Twins are back in this game...

PopRiveter Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Sorry about your Dart, RB. Your tale of self-control and understanding is what I needed to hear to stop me from punching Brian Dozier in his handsome face.Him not producing over an over has to be harder on him than me.
FunnyPenguin Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Here comes another bases loaded, get your hopes up only to be let down by a horrible lineup moment for the loyal Twins fan...

James Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 The Twins didn't get shut out today!!! #smallvictories
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Tell me the announcers complimented Santana on a routine fly ball for an RBI......with a productive out. I love me some productive outs.......
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Dozier couldn't hit his way out of a wet paper bag... Dozier would die of dehydration inside a Portajon trying to pull the door open instead of going the other way.
gmarais66 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Clutch tightly to the small victories... At least they didn't get shutout.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Maybe the Papa John's / Twins Win promotion should change to pizza discounts when the Twins score more than so many runs per game. Make it a progressive promotion. Start at zero runs, 1, 2,3, 4 and cap it at 5.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I smell a double play! Might not want to get your hopes up, I had Chipotle for lunch.
jimmer Verified Member Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 The runners didn't fail to move up because of the strong throw, Richard. Rosario went too far on an obvious fly out instead of tagging and moving up on the throw. Then he steals 3B, which is fine, but probably not advisable since there were two outs and he was already in scoring position.
