Don't like the Rosario bunt to bring up Suzuki. Molitor was supposedly Rosario's biggest backer, but he pulls him from the game earlier this week when we lost the DH, and he tells him to bunt here. Ugh.

Good we gave up an out with the best hitter we had who has triple power with a speedy runner on first.  If you don't trust buxton to steal second use a different pinch runner.  Rosario should be looking to drive the ball.  I guess Molitor was bored and wanted the game to end.

I should never think my manager is betting against his team twice in one week.  I get bad decisions look worse with bad results but bunting and then going with a end the game in one swing or strikeout pinch hitter.  Have a plan before the inning starts.  There is a good chance the fist batter of the inning ends up on first.

Yeah, I didn't love the bunt there, but it sure would've been nice to score with 1st and 3rd and nobody out also.  The guys didn't execute well in that inning either.

I gave "likes" to the anti-bunt comments, but I want to jump on that too!--bunting was stupid with a runner on first. If two base-runners, maybe OK, but definitely not in this situation!

Second time Molitor has done it to Rosario this week (first was sac bunting ahead of Eddie on Wednesday, allowing Detroit to intentionally walk him).

The squeeze idea was fine, the problem is Trevor Plouffe is one of the slowest humans on the planet.

So estentially that means the squeeze was not fine.

 

If anytime called for a PR it was that. Even if you are going for the SF etc, PR Nunez or Santana for Plouffe in that situation.
